Shimmel Concert upright 114

For me, an exceptional piano. I have been dealing with pianos since 1979 and have had many pianos go through my hands. This is probably the most wonderful piano I have ever had. There was a wonderful Daneman some years ago but this tops everything.  Purchased new in 1990 it has only had the most gentle use with a child at begginer level so is still very much as it left the factory. Schimmel are one of the most respected German manufacturers and have an international reputation. Full 88 note keyboard with a third pedal for muted practice.  I was transferred into a whole new world as I first put my hands on the piano…it feels very similar to my Steinway model D. The touch is absolutely superb and the sound oh so very beautiful. Slightly restrained with an incredible deep sonority throughout the keyboard,it is unlike any upright piano I have played over 50 years. It has a Renner action and Roslau strings and the action is soooo sensitive to the smallest nuance. I’m tempted to keep it for myself. This is an exceptional piano and new they are about 15k. If you want a piano for life this is it. The case is in high black gloss with one or two very small blemishes which are hardly noticeable. Any where else this would be c7k. Come and try!
